Artist Statement: “Whispered Wings”
In “Whispered Wings,” I sought to capture the delicate interplay between vulnerability and strength. The enigmatic woman, her lips adorned by a butterfly, becomes a conduit for secrets—the kind that flutter just beneath the surface, waiting to take flight.

The butterfly, symbolizing metamorphosis and ephemeral beauty, clings to her mouth as if guarding untold stories. Its fragile wings, painted in iridescent hues, mirror the woman’s own hidden complexities. Is she a keeper of secrets or a revealer of mysteries? Perhaps both.

The blurred contours of her face invite viewers to project their own narratives onto her—an invitation to explore the unspoken, the silenced, and the transformative. The softness of her features contrasts with the vivid intensity of the butterfly, emphasizing the tension between fragility and resilience.

As an artist, I invite you to listen closely—to hear the flutter of wings against parted lips, to imagine the whispered confessions carried by this ethereal creature. “Whispered Wings” invites us to question what remains unspoken and to celebrate the courage it takes to release our inner butterflies into the world.
